Cable for parallel port

Using this interface cable you can plug the 8or module to the parallel port of your PC computer easily and fast. There are included three friendly programs written in Visual Basic. The code was made thinking the student will understand the operation of the parallel port easily and fast.

The first program shows how a decimal number between 0 and 255 can activate the 8 data bits of the parallel port.

The second program can activate each bit in an independent way by a single mouse click.

The third one depicts how to control the speed of the data secquence using a graphical control of the Windows enviroment.

Second program

8 output IR module

Code: 712 Name: detectIR

8 output IR module

This module receives IR signals from a universal remote control (like the TV ones).

This board counts with an IR sensor which receives signals from the universal remote control. Using a flat cable you get an 8 line of TTL/CMOS output, each output becomes active by clicking the remote control keys 1, 2, 3... and so on. It can receive a power supply of 5V DC too.

This module plugs directly to the 8or board. You can buy the kit items separately: the 5V power supply Code: 903 and the remote control Code: 712-1.

EEPROM 93LC66 serial device programmer

Code: 708 Name: 93lc66

EEPROM 93LC66 serial device programmer

With this board, EEPROM memories model 93LC66, can be reproduced. Insert the memory in the base socket and the empty memory in the clone socket. When pressing a button all the information that contains the base memory is transferred to the clone memory.

Verifies each copied byte.

Technical data: For the PIC16C505, 9V DC power supply, leds to indicate the result of the recording and schematics.

EEPROM 24 serial device programmer

Code: 709 Name: grab24

EEPROM 24 serial device programmer

With this board, EEPROM memories model 24, can be reproduced. Insert the memory in the base socket and the empty memory in the clone socket. When pressing a button all the information that contains the base memory is transferred to the clone memory.

Electronic thermostat with PIC16F872

Code: 711 Name: ter

Electronic thermostat with PIC16F872

Software: Floppy disk and schematic diagram included.

Using the well known LM35 as temperature sensor and the analogic inputs of the PIC16F872, we built an electronic thermostat which capabilites were only obtained with other costly devices.

The proposed software is planned to take full advantage of the microcontroller capacity.

Hardware: For the PIC16F872 Power supply: 9 to 12V AC/DC, 2 digits, output rele.

Technical data: Controls to adjust the trigger temperature, and the operation mode: heat up and cool down.

In their beginnings the R/C servo motors were widely deployed in the radio control realm. Today countless applications use them, one of the most important are the robots. With this module you can control up to three servo motors. Two buttons control the forward/backward movement of each servo motor.

The most important fact of the project is that the module can store in memory up to 41 motor positions, which you can run automatically.

The procedure to program the motor movements can't be more simple: move the motor to the desired position then you press the "program" button. If you want so, then repeat this secquence 41 times. To execute the rutine, you just change a jumper to the "execute" position. There is a "reset" button to refresh the memory.

This project is based on a programmed PIC16F627 microcontroller. It is suggested to set 6V AC/DC 2A power supply for this board.

The module can work with any servo motor, but it is suggested to use the Cirrus CS-71, code 713-1. If you want to buy the source code program, ask it by the code 713-2.
